If there’s one thing I do A LOT, it’s making advertisements with “real people”. And by real people I mean, folks who are actual users of the product and not a professional that’s been hired to be the face of the product. In this case, the product is a college – The College of St Elizabeth located in Morristown, New Jersey. And these are students who are enrolled and attend class here on a regular basis.
I’ve been fortunate enough to work with Second Melody on the last few campaigns for the college. This year the creative team came up with “Big Stories, Small Campus”; a campaign to show the perfect balance of an intimate campus environment with endless academic possibilities (they also came up with that description which I simply copied and pasted here – yeah they’re that good). The campaign aimed to highlight several undergraduate and graduate students with a glimpse into where they’re from, how they got here and most importantly, where they’re going.
We were given a group of students over the course of one day on campus to produce images that would accompany each one’s personal narrative.
